I think Grey Knights are definitely a good beginner faction. Grey Knights are generally straightforward to play and we don't have loads of complex rules or require stacking lots of buffs. Given we currently have a bunch of redundant data sheets and strats, there tends to be a lot less to remember than for other armies.

Colours. First of all, there are two basic kinds of colours in heraldry: tinctures and ores. Ores are the metal colours; yellow (gold) and white (silver). These are not actually metal paints, as there was no such thing, but rather the colours that were thought to represent the metals. Tinctures are the colours blue, red, purple, green and black.
